Visit Dublin’s Bold Bet Snagged an Adrian Award
Not that Dublin…the other Dublin.
Turns out, asking folks in Dublin, Ireland to come party with us in Dublin, Ohio actually works. And not only did it spark international headlines (and a few epic cross-Atlantic pub crawls), it just earned Visit Dublin a Bronze, Best of Category Adrian Award for Integrated Campaign, Innovation from HSMAI.
‘The Other Dublin’ campaign invited our Irish namesakes to come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us in Ohio, pints on us. We threw up cheeky billboards right in the heart of downtown Dublin, Ireland, and pointed curious pub-goers to OtherDublin.com, where they could book their trip, flash an Irish ID, and score free pints upon arrival.
It was bold. It was scrappy. It was just the right amount of weird.And now, it’s award-winning.
