When you deliver numbers for clients like ‘569% more paid-search conversions’ and ‘125% increase in click-through rates,’ it’s no wonder our VP, Director of Brand Connections, Chris Finnegan, was named a 2023 Adweek Media All-Star.

In just one year, Finnegan has transformed Cornett’s paid media department with a renewed focus on campaign goal-setting and performance measurement. Because of this, our president and owner, Christy Hiler, took notice, asking Finnegan to overhaul the Interactive and Social divisions of the Brand Connections department.

He has since established an internal Content Studio team that has led to new business wins from clients like Fooji and Valvoline. He also established an analytics practice that has proved invaluable to reporting on holistic success with our clients.

When asked about the nomination, “Truth be told, this award was a team effort. A big thank you to the entire Brand Connections team for their hard work on behalf of Cornett and (of course) our clients. I look at this as more of a recognition of our collective success as an agency,” said Finnegan.

Finnegan takes a simplified view of the marketing funnel: awareness and performance. Awareness focuses on efficient delivery of impressions and reach, while performance focuses on machine learning to drive results. Beyond the funnel, Finnegan believes the marriage of strategy, creative and media is fundamental to driving overall campaign success. He works with our in-house strategy and creative teams to develop campaigns centered around driving performance, then uses adaptive methodologies that constantly test and refine campaigns to solve client business problems and achieve higher ROI.

TL;DR — Chris Finnegan is a media MVP that’s helped elevate Cornett’s paid, earned, shared and owned media offerings like never before.
